PALOGA Studio
Here, movement is way bigger than something that you do for an hour, it’s something that supports how you live.
Our signature PALOGA classes blend Mat Pilates strength, yoga-based flow, and intentional breath to build real, usable strength and steadiness. Alongside PALOGA, the majority of our classes are Mat Pilates practices designed to help you build a strong, stable foundation. We also offer yoga and yin & sound classes throughout the week to help you create balance, because strength and softness are partners.
These practices help you connect to your body in a real way. You will discover the kind of strength that shows up in everyday life. Carrying groceries up subway stairs, opening a stubborn jar, sitting taller at your desk, taking a deep breath before answering an email, navigating a hard conversation, or staying present through a long day.
Over time, you may notice it not only in the way your body moves, but also in how your mind settles, how your energy flows, and how grounded you feel throughout your day. What you build here does not stay on the mat. The clarity, resilience, and nervous system balance you cultivate ripple into your relationships, your work, and your inner world.
PALOGA Studio is a space where you can exhale.
Where effort meets ease and where you do not have to perform, compare, or prove anything.
It’s a place to challenge yourself, restore deeply, and reconnect to what feels steady inside.
The energy of this studio is shaped by the people in it, by you.
We value conscious communication, mutual respect, and showing up with intention.
When you leave, you do not just feel worked out.
You feel grounded, clear, and more like yourself.
Where it all began
PALOGA© was born in 2020 while founder Jessanya was living in a small eco-community in Panama. In a time when the world slowed down, daily life became simpler and more reflective. Mornings were spent moving outside, barefoot, with the sounds of the jungle and river nearby. During that time, Jessanya began blending yoga and Pilates into a daily practice alongside her partner, who had never practiced either before.
When they first met, he couldn’t touch his toes. After a year of moving together consistently, he could. It wasn’t about perfection or performance. It was simply about showing up day after day and noticing how the body’s subtle changes.
The practice that emerged felt both strengthening and soothing. Each day, the two of them would finish their practice and head to lunch in the community, often arriving sweaty and energized just as a conch shell was blown to call everyone in. People would ask what they had been doing that morning, and the answer was always the same.
Pilates and yoga.
Pilates and yoga.
Eventually, the word PALOGA was born.
Over the following years, the method continued to evolve within a small remote beach and jungle community of about 600 people. Rooted in daily connection to nature, the practice developed an earthy, grounded quality. It became a way to build strength while staying present, steady, and connected.
Jessanya later began sharing this practice internationally through classes, retreats, and pop-up experiences across Costa Rica, Colombia, Mexico, Europe, and New York City.
After years abroad, returning to live in the United States marked the beginning of a new chapter. The vision was to create a permanent home for the practice.
PALOGA Studio is now a space for intentional movement and connection. Connection to yourself, to body, mind, breath, and heart. Since beginning her yoga journey in 2014, Jessanya has returned again and again to one simple truth she discovered on the mat: when she moves from a place of love and listens to her inner knowing, she finds peace and joy wherever she is.
PALOGA Studio is a way of bringing that feeling into everyday life. The steadiness of those mornings moving barefoot in nature. The simplicity of showing up each day. The reminder that strength and softness can exist together.
Now, even in the heart of the city, that same spirit lives here.
